Editor and Writing Instructor

As an editor and as a teacher, I have a particular interest in working with writers whose first language is not English. In addition to teaching English language classes, I have also run workshops on translation and have edited online translation features for Harvard Review. I occasionally take on freelance editing projects, particularly for writers whose work needs "Englishing" or localization for American English.

I began my editing career in 2009 when I became managing editor of Harvard Review. Since 2013 I have taught courses in Academic Writing and Business Rhetoric at the Harvard Extension School, where I have also co-taught a Writing Bootcamp. In my courses, I combine my knowledge of grammar, my interest in clear communication (both written and visual), and my practical editorial experience to give students concrete advice for improving their writing.
